Gerald V. Dandeneau
Mr. Dandeneau concentrates his practice in the field of commercial, matrimonial, real estate, labor and ERISA litigation. He began his legal career in New York City and ultimately relocated to Long Island where he was senior counsel to the law firm of Dandeneau & Curto, LLP. Mr. Dandeneau is also former legal counsel to the firm of Curto, Barton & Alessi. Mr. Dandeneau also served in an of-counsel capacity to the firm of Bart and Schwartz, before founding Dandeneau & Lott.
Over the years, Mr. Dandeneau has represented a number of labor organizations in the building and construction trades, including their representative fringe benefit funds. He has concentrated his practice in commercial, matrimonial, real estate, labor and ERISA litigation, and has acted as “Of Counsel” over the years to various law firm located on Long Island. He has been a member of the Personnel Committee for the YMCAs of Metropolitan New York, which formalized all human resource policies for the YMCAs of Metropolitan New York.
Mr. Dandeneau has also represented a diverse group of clients for litigation purposes, including Creative Bath Products, Inc., Sammis-Coldwell Banker, Dairy Barn Stores, Oak Tree Dairy, Inc. and Circuit Sales International Components Corp. His representation of labor organizations has included representation before the National Labor Relations Board and the New York State Labor Relations Board. He is admitted to Federal Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, where he has argued various appeals in connection with labor and employment-related matters. His litigation experience includes numerous trials at the State and Federal levels. Mr. Dandeneau has also served as a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Mr. Dandeneau has lived a greater portion of his life on Long Island. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Lafayette College, Easton, PA in 1970 and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1973.
Dawn A. Lott
Ms. Lott concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law and labor relations as well as in commercial and corporate litigation. Her practice also includes appellate work in both Federal and State courts. Prior to establishing the partnership of Dandeneau & Lott, Ms. Lott served in an of-counsel capacity to the law firm of Bart & Schwartz, LLP. Ms. Lott was also an associate with the firm of Dandeneau & Curto, LLP.
Ms. Lott has been a lifelong resident of Long Island. She attended Cornell University School of Labor and Industrial Relations, having graduated in 1990. She, thereafter, received her legal education at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and graduated in 1996. Ms. Lott is currently admitted to the Federal Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
Ms. Lott is currently a member of the Amistad Black Bar Association of Long Island and is a two-term past President. She also has membership with the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Woman’s Bar Association. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County and a member of the Board of Directors of the Amistad Black Bar Association of Long Island.
